ArtRio is proud to announce its fourth edition in Pier Mauá, the port zone of Rio de Janeiro.

In 2013 the fair experienced a successful edition featuring more than 100 leading galleries from all over the world divided in five pavilions facing the sea. Around 52,000 collectors, curators, artists, and art professionals visited Pier Mauá, establishing ArtRio as the most prominent art fair in Latin America.

In addition, 2014 rises to be promising year, as Brazil is hosting FIFA World Cup in June and the 31st edition of São Paulo Biennial takes place simultaneously to the fair.

ArtRio is currently accepting applications for two sectors: PANORAMA and VISTA.

PANORAMA is aimed for established galleries of modern and contemporary art displaying 20th- and 21st-century artworks. The galleries in this sector must be at least five years old and apply with their overall program, while also outlining their concept for a booth at the show.

VISTA is focused on emerging artistic production. The booth may be conceived exclusively for the fair, presenting works from one to three artists. It often features unseen pieces and concise dialogues. This sector is open to galleries who are less than ten years old.

Curators Pablo Leon de la Barra and Julieta Gonzalez are already confirmed for special project SOLO, as well as Abaseh Mirvali to the LUPA project.

The application form is available online at www.artrio.art.br.

The application deadline for all sectors is February 7, 2014.
