The Sayago & Pardon Collection is pleased to announce its attendance at ARCOmadrid 2014, along with the participation of Abstraction in Action.
Abstraction in Action (AIA) is an interactive project born out of research on the contemporary production of abstract art in Latin America. It is because of the breadth of this powerful field, that Cecilia Fajardo–Hill, curator of AIA, and the Sayago & Pardon Collection, with its focus on contemporary Latin American abstraction, have partnered to bring AIA to life.
Abstraction in Action will present its online platform at an institutional booth during the fair, allowing visitors to interact with the database while gaining a deeper understanding of the project and the artists involved. The website will launch a new “Projects” section during the fair, featuring exhibitions, site-specific installations, and events that AIA has produced.
Through the multiple voices of artists, writers, researches and curatorial advisors including, Óscar Roldán-Alzate, Carlos E. Palacios and Claudio Iglesias, Abstraction in Action is becoming one of the most important references for contemporary abstract art today. For more information on Abstraction in Action or the Sayago & Pardon Collection please visit www.abstractioninaction.com and www.sayagopardon.com.
