Prix K-Way Per4m (new)

Per4m is the new and innovative section of Artissima devoted to performance: the first of its kind on the international art fair scene in terms of both its presentation and its approach to performance art. It is curated by Tobi Maier, Simone Menegoi and Natalia Sielewicz.
From its first edition Per4m will introduce a significant prize, the Prix Per4m K-Way, to be granted to the work deemed most relevant. The 10,000 EUR prize proves the special commitment of the partner K-Way in this form of experimentation as well as the importance of this new section for Artissima.
Sardi per l’Arte Back to the Future Prize (new)

The new 5,000 EUR Sardi per l’Arte Back to the Future Prize, sponsored by Fondazione Sardi per l’Arte, is aimed at promoting one the most experimental sections of Artissima devoted to museum-quality solo shows by artists active in the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. The section is selected by João Fernandes, Douglas Fogle, Beatrix Ruf, Jochen Volz and coordinated by Eva Fabbris.
The prize will be awarded to the gallery featuring the most remarkable project in the section, in terms both of historical relevance of the artist and booth presentation.

The 14th edition of the illy Present Future Prize will be awarded by illycaffè to the artist with the most interesting solo show in the Present Future section, for years now a successful launch pad for talented young artists. The section is curated by Luigi Fassi, Catalina Lozano, Piper Marshall, Jamie Stevens and Xiaoyu Weng. Since 2012, the 10,000 EUR award consists in the production of an exhibition project by the winning artist in the prestigious setting of the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art. The shows of the two winning artists of the past edition—Caroline Achaintre and Fatma Bucak—will inaugurate at the museum during Artissima 2014.
Guido Carbone New Entries Prize

Introduced by Artissima in 2006, this 5,000 EUR prize is devoted to young galleries active for less than five years and taking part in the New Entries section for the first time. The prize will be awarded to the gallery deemed most noteworthy in the promotion of emerging artists and featuring the most experimental project and booth display.

Set up in 2009 by Fondazione Ettore Fico to promote and support the work of young artists, this 15,000 EUR prize is aimed at funding a project by the winning artist, from an exhibition to an editorial production. The Fondazione will also continue its important programme of acquisitions at Artissima to expand the permanent collection of the new Ettore Fico Museum in Torino.
