The Skulpturenprojekt for Viertel Zwei was conceived from an original idea by the gallery owner Gabriele Senn and the real estate developer Michael Griesmayr: an outdoor gallery for art objects, accessible to the public.

The Skulpturenprojekt is a signature project for a contemporary development of the Kunst-am-Bau idea – Percent for Art. The public gallery provides a tactile and immediate experience of the visual arts for all who live and work here and simultaneously networks industry and art on one site, which is of interest to both.

Its proximity to the new University of Vienna campus locates the Skulpturenprojekt in a young and vital part of the city that is capable of taking on a model character and re-defining relations between art, industry and the city.

On the occasion of the Viennafair and the curators’ project curated by_vienna, there will be a further opportunity to join in a guided tour through the area with background information.

Date: Sunday, 5 October, 11am by appointment, registration: office [at] skulpturenprojekt.at.
