On 28 November, Latitude: Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad launches their new innovative Brasil Art Gallery Guide app. Available for iPhones and Androids, the app will provide a comprehensive directory of Brazilian contemporary art and give greater insight into the exhibitions and events programmes of Latitude’s member galleries.
With full profiles on each of the galleries included, the app will provide extensive information on events, talks and exhibitions within a “what’s on” calendar. Interactive maps will guide users to 52 gallery spaces, located in major Brazilian cities, and provide information on all that is happening within the Brazilian contemporary art world. Favourite galleries, exhibitions and artists can also be saved into “my guide”—a personal profile providing users with their own individual index of Brazilian contemporary art.
Key features to include:
– Information on upcoming events and exhibitions at all 49 Latitude member galleries
– View events in calendars and in “what’s on” tabs
– View gallery profiles alphabetically, by town and vicinity
– Interactive maps with details of what is on in the area and directions to galleries/venues
– “my guide” feature to save favourite items, galleries, exhibition and artists
– Versions available in English and Portuguese
This app will be available for free download on 3 December from the App Store and Google Play.
