Latitude is a partnership between ABACT (Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) with the objective of creating business opportunities for Brazilian art abroad.

–Latitude will present six leading Brazilian Galleries at Frieze London Art Fair and four additional galleries at Frieze Masters
–For Artbo 2015, Latitude will see a record number of Brazilian art galleries displaying cutting-edge works in Bogota.
–Five Brazilian galleries will present work at Odeón, Bogota, with the support of the Latitude Project

Frieze Art Fair, London
Highlights from the galleries exhibiting at Frieze London 2015 include: A Gentil Carioca’s (G14) presentation of works by Jarbas Lopes, João Lopes, José Bento, and Laura Lima; Galeria Jaqueline Martins’ (G16) presentation of works by Lais Myrrha and Letícia Parente; Galeria Luisa Strina’s (C9) group show by artists including Anna Maria Maiolino, Caetano de Almeida, Leonor Antunes, Juan Araujo, Tonico Lemos Auad, Alexandre da Cunha, Marcius Galan, Fernanda Gomes, Laura Lima, Anna Maria Maiolino, Cildo Meireles, Bernardo Ortiz, Nicolás Paris, Robert Rauschenberg and Clarissa Tossin; and Mendes Wood DM’s (D11) display of works by Adriano Costa, Celso Renato, Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, Lucas Arruda, Mariana Castillo Deball, Neil Beloufa, Patricia Leite and Solange Pessoa.

Frieze Masters
For Frieze Masters, Galeria Nara Roesler (G18) will present a solo show by Japanese artist Tomie Ohtake, and Anita Schwartz (H14) will display work by Wanda Pimentel as part of the Frieze Masters Spotlight sector. Baró Galeria (G23) will also display a solo show of sculptural work by Filipino artist David Medalla. Vermelho (H3) will exhibit works by Dora Longo Bahia, André Komatsu and Marcelo Cidade, while Dan Galeria (G13) will display a group show by Alfredo Volpi, Anthony Hill, Ascânio MMM, François Morellet, Hércules Barsotti, Hermelindo Fiaminghi, Joseph Albers, Leon Ferrari, Lothar Charoux, Lygia Clark, Mary Vieira, Mira Schendel, Sérgio Camargo, Victor Pasmore, and Willys de Castro.

Artbo, Bogota
From 1–4 October, Latitude: Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad will see seven galleries showcase cutting-edge contemporary artworks at artBO, the International Art Fair of Bogotá. This is the highest number of Brazilian galleries that have presented at the fair to date. Eduardo Fernandes (C32) will present a group show by artists including Alberto Lesaca, Claudia Melli Clemencia Echeverri, Daisy Xavier, Fernando Arias, Luz Lizarazo and Vicente de Mello. Galeria Jaqueline Martins (C13) will display work by Charbel-Joseph Boutros and Regina Vater, while Galeria Luisa Strina (B01) will present work by Beto Shwafaty, Carlos Garaicoa, Cildo Meireles, Eduardo T. Basualdo, Fernanda Gomes, Jorge Macchi, Laura Lima, Leonor Antunes, Magdalena Jitrik, Marcius Galan, Nicolás Paris, Pablo Accinelli, Pedro Motta and Pedro Reyes. Galeria Nara Roesler (B21) will present a solo show by Carlito Carvalhosa, and Luciana Brito Galeria (C17) will display work by Regina Silveira, Fernando Zarif, Héctor Zamora and Tiago Tebet. Sé (B20) will present performance and installation works by Brazilian artist Rafael RG, while Vermelho (C27) will display work by Marcelo Cidade, Nicolas Robbio, Marila Dardot, Angela detanico and Rafael Lain, Ivan Argote, Odires Mlaszho, Dora Longo Bahia and Edgar de Souza.

Odeón, Bogota
Five of Latitude’s galleries will present at Odeón, in Bogota, from 2 October. This year, Odeón is featuring Brazil as its guest country for 2015 and will designate an entire floor of the fair to Brazilian galleries and artwork. Athena Contemporânea (17) will present a joint show by André Griffo and Frederico Filippi, while Blau Projects (15) will display a solo exhibition of sculptural brick works by Andrey Zignnatto. Galeria Central (18) will present a group show by Felipe Góes, José Rufino, Nino Cais, Pedro França and Pedro Cappeletti. Galeria Lume (16) will present work by three artists: Claudio Alvarez, Florian Raiss and Talita Hoffmann. Portas Vilaseca Galeria (14) will display a joint show by Daniel Murgel and Iris Helena.
