CROSSROADS / PINTA LONDON announces its 2016 art show, to take place from October 5 to 9 at The Old Truman Brewery in London.
This is a new Art Show that includes PINTA LONDON as a platform within CROSSROADS to showcase Latin American art, yet extends its mapping into new regions.
The word CROSSROADS implies the invitation to a journey, to imagine the future, the opportunity to explore and leave behind old habits and frontiers. CROSSROADS Art Show will promote and showcase in London the best of modern and contemporary art from all regions.
CROSSROADS will take place at The Old Truman Brewery in East London, where thousands of newcomers first settled in this cosmopolitan city. An area indelibly associated with multiculturalism, it is now a hot spot for the affluent and sophisticated. CROSSROADS is just a few minutes away from Shoreditch, Spitalfields Market and the Whitechapel Gallery. Host to the most lively and fashionable restaurants, markets, hotels and private clubs, and within walking distance from the capital’s financial district, this area has become one of London’s preferred destinations and a focal point for contemporary art.
CROSSROADS will coincide with Frieze, becoming an alternative to exhibit and experience the best of modern and contemporary art. The eyes of the art world are on London during Frieze week, as the city receives the most important international collectors, artists, curators and decision-makers, providing CROSSROADS galleries with a unique opportunity to reach their target audience in a relaxed, convivial setting.
The Artistic Committee of CROSSROADS is comprised of some of the most prestigious figures in today’s international art world. It includes artists and curators such as Fernando Bryce, Franklin Evans, Bruno Leitão, Pablo León de la Barra, Federico Luger, Marta Ramos-Yzquierdo, Manuela Ribadeneira, Eva Ruiz, Aura Seikkula, Isabela Villanueva and Octavio Zaya.
This “new-old” art show benefits from the reputation of the established and unique PINTA LONDON, yet offers an exciting expansion to its content. The PINTA LONDON team will provide CROSSROADS with the expertise, network, collectors and accumulated experience of its five years’ successful history.
