The 12th edition of ARTBO, International Art Fair of Bogotá will take place between October 27 and October 30 with a special preview and vernissage on October 26. ARTBO is now accepting applications through their online platform until April 23.
In 2015 the fair had its most important edition yet and it solidified its presence as the best quality art fair in Latin America with close to 35,000 attendees including over 500 national and international collectors, curators, institution directors and art world professionals invited through their VIP Program.
Throughout its eleven editions, ARTBO has managed to position itself as one of the most important art fairs in Latin America and has been globally recognized for its quality. The fair’s unique model, which includes a wide program of both commercial and non-commercial sections, and its focus on quality and diversity, has given the fair one of the most refreshing perspectives within the international art fair circuit. As such, ARTBO has been a key element in the worldwide recognition of Colombian art and the vibrant scene it enjoys today.
This edition of the fair promises to be the best yet with outstanding international curators in all sections, and a balanced Main section with galleries that are well established and recognized for their trajectory, emerging galleries, and galleries with cutting-edge perspectives.
The members of the Selection Committee, in charge of selecting the participating galleries for the Main section, are: Elba Benítez (Galería Elba Benítez, Spain), Eduardo Brandao (Vermelho, Brazil), Beatriz López (Instituto de Visión, Colombia), Alex Mor (mor-charpentier, France-Colombia) and Leon Tovar (Leon Tovar Gallery, USA)
