TALKING GALLERIES, the international platform for galleries is proud to announce the 5th edition of the Barcelona Symposium on January 16 through 17, 2017, a two-day programme under the title “Consolidating Gallery Strategies” to be held at the MACBA museum.
One of the most influential world-wide European gallerists, Thaddaeus Ropac, will open this year’s symposium. With galleries in Salzburg, Paris and soon in London, Ropac is at the forefront of the ever-changing gallery sector and will share his expertise about the feverish state of the art business.
Long-terms collaborators to TALKING GALLERIES such as Noah Horowitz (Director Americas, Member of the Executive Committee, Art Basel); Georgina Adam (art market editor-at-large, The Art Newspaper; art market correspondent, Financial Times); Claes Nordenhake (Galerie Nordenhake, Berlin/Stockholm); Alain Servais (Collector, investment banker and entrepreneur); Adam Sheffer (Partner and Director, Cheim & Read, New York and President of ADAA) and Jocelyn Wolff (Galerie Jocelyn Wolff, Paris) are some of the key figures expected to attend.
The complete programme of Barcelona Symposium 2017 will follow very soon.

About Talking Galleries
Born in 2011, TALKING GALLERIES is an open platform for gallerists and art professionals to discuss and exchange ideas about new trends and issues specific to the art gallery sector. It unfolds into the main symposium in Barcelona and into selected parallel sessions abroad such as TG Berlin 2015 and TG Korea 2016, with the participation of international leading figures from the art world. The importance of providing a common space in which to debate new models with fellow professionals keeps being at the forefront of the founding principles of TALKING GALLERIES.
