Swab Barcelona celebrates its 10 year anniversary with a special edition, from September 28 to October 1, 2017, which features expanded general and curated programs to showcase fresh, innovative young talent alongside galleries and artists of outstanding trajectory.

Among the highlights is a new selection committee, comprised of collectors: Harold Berg, economist and member of the photography committee of the Whitney Museum of American Art; Susanne Birbragher, Art Nexus commercial vice-director; Giuseppe Casarotto, engineer and president of the ClubGAMeC of Bergamo; and Alfredo Hertzog, president of Hertzog Art Business; along with: Domenico de Chirico, independent curator, Albertine de Galbert, independent curator, arte-sur.org founder and cultural cooperation projects manager; David Armengol, independent curator; and Marisol Rodriguez, cultural journalist and independent curator.

The fair welcomes 80 galleries from around the world, expanding its general program while maintaining its commitment to curated sections. Learn more about Solo Swab, IN/OUT, On Paper, Focus Mediterráneo, Swab Seed, Swab Performance, Swab City, and more at www.swab.es.

Swab Barcelona also ventures beyond fair and gallery walls to bring art to the Barcelona locals, through various installations and activities in public spaces and institutions, as the prelude to Barcelona’s Contemporary Art Week.
