ARTBO was created in 2004 by the Bogota Chamber of Commerce recognizing the importance of cultural and creative industries. During four days, the fair brings together national and international galleries, curators, artists and general public around a platform of commercialization in one of the most significant cultural showcases in the visual arts in Colombia. ARTBO | Fair is also the central axis of the artistic circuit that takes place during the month of October in Bogota. As a program designed to strengthen the visual arts sector, it has also launched ARTBO | Fin de Semana, a public event with special activities in different galleries and art spaces; ARTBO | Salas, which develops exhibitions year-round in three venues in Bogota; as well as ARTBO | Tutor, an education initiative for emerging and self-taught artists.
