Please join Columbia GSAPP’s Dean, faculty, and students at the opening reception for the End of Year Show, a celebration of the best work from the School’s diverse and international student body spanning degree programs in Architecture; Urban Design and Urban Planning; Historic Preservation; Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices; and Real Estate Development. The expansive display throughout Avery Hall captures both the school’s playful experimentation and disciplinary expertise.
Columbia GSAPP challenges its students to think about the future of the built environment and pursue new ways to address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Fueled by the density and diversity of its encounters and perspectives—combining unbridled imagination with disciplinary rigor and incisive critical thinking—the school has built its long legacy of excellence as an urban condenser of ideas. On view will be the work produced by hundreds of students, including models produced in GSAPP’s expanded making space, digital visualizations and drawings, installations throughout Avery Hall’s architecture studios, and much more.
A GSAPP Conversations podcast about the previous End of Year Show is available on SoundCloud, featuring Dean Amale Andraos in conversation with James Taylor-Foster. Listen to all GSAPP podcasts at soundcloud.com/columbiagsapp.
