Nasan Tur: As Hard As You Can
Can art save the world? Turkish-German artist Nasan Tur (b. 1974, Offenbach / lives and works in Berlin) doesn’t think so. Being an artist he sees his responsibility to give us a new reading of political and social events, through visual art, performances, actions and artist talks. In his second solo exhibition As Hard As You Can at Deweer Gallery, he uses destructive interventions to give objects a new destination and to activate changes in perception.
John Kørner: Problems in perspective
John Kørner (b. 1967, lives and works in Copenhagen) is one of the most prominent contemporary artists in Denmark. His work is not easily pigeonholed. In the past two decades the Danish artist has steadily developed a body of work characterized by polychrome, expressive colors in watercolor on canvas. In addition, he also creates shiny ceramics, glass objects and installations. Basso continuo is a very direct form of communication.
