Set Up

Punta della Dogana presents Set Up, a site-specific format organised in the museum spaces to turn the exhibition rooms into a unique venue for the performing arts.

For two evenings, music, sound, image, performance and dance will take over Punta della Dogana with the participation of internationally renown artists who share an interest in opening their artistic practice to other fields: Ernst Reijseger, OoopopoiooO, CollettivO CineticO, Laurel Halo, Sequoyah Tiger, Mouse on Mars, Alessandro Sciarroni, Laibach, Chris Imler, Matthew Herbert.

Conceived by Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana in 2016, Set Up is an immersive experience that lets artists, performances and music intertwine and interact with the monumental architecture of Punta della Dogana, one of the most suggestive spaces in Venice. From industrial to electronic music and dj set, from experimental dance to performance and audio-visual installations, disciplines and genres mingle to give life to the museum space at a time when no exhibition is taking place.
