CAA announces the pay-as-you-wish day pass for the CAA 2018 Annual Conference in Los Angeles, February 21–24. We offered the flexible day pass, perfect for students and part-time faculty, for the first time in New York in 2017. We imagined it would be popular, but we had no idea. At the NYC Annual Conference in 2017, the option to pay-as-you-wish brought 1,300 people together with our full conference registrants to learn and connect. It was all we could hope for as a membership organization advancing the field of visual arts.
We could not resist offering it again in Los Angeles for our 2018 Annual Conference.
CAA will offer pay-as-you-wish onsite only at the 106th Annual Conference, February 21–24. This flexible day pass is designed for students, part-time faculty, and those who are not financially able to pay for a full conference registration but want to attend.
Suggested pay-as-you-wish day pass price: 25 USD
The pay-as-you-wish day pass allows for full, one-day access to the conference, and if you want to return the next day, you can do so at list price.

2018 Distinguished Scholar Wu Hung is the Harrie A. Vanderstappen Distinguished Service Professor of Art History and East Asian Languages & Civilizations at The University of Chicago. 2018 Distinguished Artist Interviews with Catherine Opie interviewed by Helen Molesworth and Judy Baca interviewed by Anna Indych-López. Don’t forget, we are also celebrating the 10th anniversary of Yoko Ono’s work, The Promise Piece, performed at the 2008 Annual Conference in Dallas, by playing an original and unpublished poem by the Ms. Ono. The poem was recorded just for the 2018 Annual Conference.
