The University of Chicago’s Department of Visual Arts is pleased to announce our 2017 MFA thesis exhibition at the Logan Center Gallery. Presented by DoVA and Logan Center Exhibitions with the support of UChicago Arts.

Part I of the 2017 MFA thesis exhibition will feature works by Jan Brugger, Ben Nicholson and Shanna Zentner. 

Please join us for a pre-opening conversation in the Logan Center Cafe from 5–6pm, followed by an opening reception in the gallery, 6–8pm.

About the Department of Visual Arts
Focused on making, the Department of Visual Arts is one of the many specialized knowledge communities at the University of Chicago, one of the world’s great research institutions. We aim to stimulate and provoke both graduate and undergraduate students, encouraging the development of independent and challenging thought as expressed and inscribed in the visual arts. We propose that art is inquiry. Our faculty, diverse in its pursuits, is critically engaged in dialogue nationally and internationally.
