08 Polymath Breakthrough with Joseph del Pesco
Residency Dates: November 16 – December 11, 2009

This residency is designed for pre-formed collaborative pairs of artists and professionals from disciplines outside the arts, to experimentally work toward big ideas. The residency group will work together in an intensive series of think-tank style discussions to address ambitious topics. These sessions will be accompanied by presentations on research topics specific to each artist-other pair.
09 Towards Language with Greg Staats
Residency Dates: January 6 – February 23, 2010
Application Deadline: June 20, 2009
This residency will examine the idea of an artist as an intermediary between First Nations, Métis, and Inuit languages and contemporary critical practices. Participants who are fluent and non-fluent in traditional languages will examine and share the strategies they use to create and re-create relationships as principles of visual interdisciplinary practice and organization.
Self-directed Residencies
Self-directed residencies are self-guided opportunities where the artist is free to experiment and explore new directions in the production of their work.

Registrations will be accepted until the program is full.
Part conference, part festival, part peer exchange, part creative workshop, Interactive Screen aims to stimulate the creation of emotionally powerful, creatively inspired, and economically viable new media in Canada and abroad. Participants engage in constant dialogue and collaboration through various panels, workshops and performances.
