MFA in Applied Craft and Design
Connecting design thinking to design doing, Pacific Northwest College of Art and Oregon College of Art and Craft have collaborated to create the MFA in Applied Craft and Design, a unique program grounded in hands-on making, entrepreneurial strategies, and social and environmental engagement. Combining a mentor-based approach with an exceptional visiting artists program, students work one-on-one with nationally and internationally recognized designers, makers, and scholars in a self-directed curriculum that challenges them to bring to life the full strength of their ideas and skills.
MFA in Visual Studies
The flexible character of the MFA in Visual Studies allows students to work within a singular discipline or to pursue a combined practice that bridges disciplines and media. This generalist structure compliments PNCA’s educational philosophy of supporting independent inquiry and encouraging cross-disciplinary dialog. Students also benefit from a dynamic national and international roster of visiting artists and designers.
