Micah Lexier: I’m Thinking of a Number is a survey of the artist’s invitations, posters, bookworks, multiples, t-shirts, coin, catalogues, prints, boxed sets, magazine projects, and other works in multiple format produced between 1980 and 2010. Edited by Jan Peacock and designed by Andrew Di Rosa, the publication includes an introduction by Peacock and essays by AA Bronson (General Idea, Printed Matter) and Christina Ritchie (Director, Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver).
The Press of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design was established in 1972 as a vehicle to publish books by and about leading contemporary artists. Between 1972 and 1987, 26 titles by such artists as Michael Snow, Steve Reich, Gerhard Richter and Yvonne Rainer were published. Relaunched in 2002, the NSCAD Press has once again establish the university as a source for the publishing of primary documents and scholarly works in the fields of contemporary art, craft and design.
