Concert • Performances • International symposium • MasterclassesThe second Poitiers Biennale, “Figures of Interactivity”, is presenting a programme of concert, symposia, masterclasses and performances exploring the role of “Memory” in the age of the new technologies.
Computer, smart phone, digital notebook, mp3 player, mobile, touch screen – innovations in communication are bringing about changes in behaviour and new cultural practices. The omnipresence of Internet and the explosion of cultural practices and new communications tools have profoundly changed the way we live. The aim of this second Biennale is to survey the transformations wrought by digital technologies in society generally as well as in the arts and sciences.
The Biennale is produced by the European School of Visual Arts (ÉESI) with the participation of FEDER, the support of the municipality of Poitiers in partnership with Ars Nova and the Espace Mendès France, Poitiers, and with the support of the University of Poitiers, the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) and the Ministry of Culture and Communication (SLIDERS research programme).
