Another SCA colleague, Dr Jacqueline Millner will present ‘Art as Prosthetic Memory’ during the session. Professor Colin Rhodes will present ‘Is the Janitor Lower than the Subaltern in Discourses of Power? Henry Darger and the Contemporary Turn’ with Prof Bernard L. Herman in ‘Henry Darger: Intersections with Contemporary Art, Part II’ at the CAA 99th Annual Conference on Saturday, February 12.

Current Students and Alumni
SCA students and alumni participate in national and international exhibitions and are regularly appointed to international academic positions. Shaun Gladwell represented Australia in the 2009 Venice Biennale. Marc Newson had a solo show in 2008 at Gagossian Galleries in New York and has been appointed Royal Designer for Industry in the UK. David Haines and Joyce Hinterding received the award of Distinction in the Hybrid arts category in the 2009 Prix Ars Electronica in Linz, Dr Sean Lowry was a visiting artist/scholar at the Department of Visual Arts, University of California, San Diego, and Department of Studio Art, University of California, Irvine during 2010. Tony Schwensen is the Director of the MFA Program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Associate Professor Simone Douglas is the Director of the MFA in Fine Arts at Parsons The New School for Design.
Faculty
The faculty at SCA is highly active across a wide range of contemporary areas from new media, installation and painting, and object design to twentieth century art history and cultural theory. SCA academic staff include; Professor Brad Buckley, Professor Ross Gibson, Professor Colin Rhodes, Associate Professor John Conomos, Associate Professor Ann Elias, Associate Professor Merilyn Fairskye, Dr Debra Dawes, Dr Karin Findeis, Dr Adam Geczy, Dr Caleb Kelly, Dr Lindy Lee, Dr Danie Mellor and Dr Jacqueline Millner.
