About the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm
With a history dating back to 1735, the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (KKH) is one of the oldest higher education art institutes in Europe. Over the years many of our graduates have gone on to pursue highly successful international careers as artists.

Key concepts in the work at KKH are experimentation, critical reflection and independent artistic development. The supervising professors at the Royal Institute of Art have prominent international profiles as artists. KKH has access to some of the best equipped technical workshops within higher education in Europe. Workshop teaching is led by artists who run courses in a wide variety of techniques such as printmaking, painting, sculpture, video, sound, photography and interactive techniques.

KKH is situated in central Stockholm, which is home to a very dynamic international art scene.
