The application process:C : Art Master´s Programme (120 ECTS)
In accordance with the Bologna mandate, C : Art follows an eight-module, five-week academic year. Each module is thematic, designed to meet our goal of graduating students with broad-based field literacy, each advanced on the path of personal fluency in their practice.
The two-year program culminates in a guest-curated, graduating exhibition presented in Gothenburg, accompanied by an illustrated publication, including curator’s essay and student texts. Studios are provided.

C : Art Core Faculty
Visiting Professor Jane Philbrick is Programme Director of C : Art. Her large – scale productions engage different disciplines in art, industry and science. She is joined by adjunct lecturer artist Zsuzsanna Larsson Gilice (MFA, Valand School of Fine Art, 2003) www.zsuzsannagilice.se, sound and media artist Richard Widerberg www.riwid.net, editor Nils Olsson at Department of Literature, History of Ideas and Religion, University of Gothenburg and Canadian multimedia artist Barrie James Sutcliffe www.youaredissolved.com.

About Valand School of Fine Art
A progressive school with individual studio spaces and ample workshops, small student groups and an international teaching staff, Valand fosters a strong working relationship between individual students and staff whilst responding and contributing to developments in the international art world. A strong commitment to artistic research is present through artistic development projects of teaching staff; research fellows such as Terence Gower, Jesper Just and Maria Lind as well as the research program which is common to the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts of the University of Gothenburg.
In addition to C:Art Master’s Programme, Valand offers a Bachelor and a Master in Fine Arts.
