The Exhibition
Moore College of Art & Design is pleased to present its inaugural thesis exhibition of the first graduates of Moore’s MFA in Studio Art program. The exhibition presents highlights of each student’s thesis body of work that is a studio and research based inquiry culminating each student’s experience in Moore’s new intensive two-year low residency MFA program. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
The Students
The artists in the exhibition are: Rose Andolina, Cheryl Durgans, Kristin Osgood and Laura Petrovovich Cheney. All have completed the MFA low-residency program at Moore, which includes three intensive six-week summer semesters (including a one month international residency in Ireland), Fall and Spring coursework and a final written thesis to accompany their thesis exhibition.
The College
Moore College of Art & Design is dedicated to excellence in art and design. Founded in 1848, Moore is the first and only visual arts college for women in the United States. Through its undergraduate bachelor of fine arts degrees for women and its coeducational graduate programs, Moore cultivates creativity, promotes scholarship and prepares its students for professional careers in the arts by emphasizing critical thinking, problem solving, risk-taking, and strong communication skills. Moore is dedicated to producing graduates that distinguish themselves as leaders in their fields.
