On November 18th and 19th Art For Business Forum is coming back: international personalities of the world of art, music, design and theatre will dialogue with managers and businessmen on the theme “Learning the Present.”
The Forum schedules workshops, seminaries and lectures, organized by Art For Business with La Triennale of Milan, to investigate how the arts can help the companies understand the Present and create fertile innovation.
Art For Business Forum 2011 will analyze the relationship between arts and business, to examine how these two worlds can work together and to show how artists can reveal aspects of the reality that managers are not able to see.
On one hand, the Forum is an exclusive opportunity for businessmen and people who want to innovate in their own work to discover new tools to transfer their creativity into their companies to produce innovation.
On the other hand, cultural institutions will have dialogues with the companies to create new terms for cooperations.
The fourth edition of Art For Business Forum hosts two main lecturers: François Jullien, one of the most important philosophers and Chinese culture specialists in the world, will give a lecture to suggest how to learn from the changes of the contemporary era, taking the Oriental culture as a model; Chris Bangle, from 1997 to 2010 head of the design centre of BMW and today one of the most influential designers of his generation, will give the lecture “Designing the Present,” to understand how to project the Present in objects, relations and processes.
In the morning, on 18th of November, Emilio Petrone, CEO of Sisal, will have a dialogue with Leonardo Previ, President of Trivioquadrivio, on the theme “What is a contemporary organization?”. Valeria Cantoni, President of Art For Business, will confront with Jens Jenssen, Vice President of HR Department and leader of the Art Programme of Statoil, focusing on the role of arts as a learning tool for people working inside organizations.
In the afternoon there will be the seminary “6×6 – Exploring the words” with Odile Decq, architect, Gianandrea Noseda, orchestra conductor, Cesare Pietroiusti, artist and performer, Mauro Sargiani, designer, Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, actor and director, and David Riondino, actor and singer-songwriter. The six artists reflect on the meaning of six words linked to arts and management, in order to offer suggestions and ideas to the public.
On 19th of November there will be art based workshops and lessons, organized by Trivioquadrivio and directed by artists, managers and trainers and the seminary “Mass vs élite.” The seminary upholds the existence of a strong link between artistic languages and the way goods are produced. Directed by Professor Severino Salvemini, with Antonio Ricci (TV author, Striscia la Notizia), Carlo Guglielmi (Fontana Arte, President of Cosmit), Elena Miroglio (Executive Vice President of Miroglio Group) and Ramin Bahrami (musician).
After the seminary there will be a jazz concert with Ferdinando Faraò, composer and musician: a listening experience focused on the exploration of the relationship between performance and interpretation.
