The seven graduate programs at California College of the Arts in San Francisco—Architecture, Curatorial Practice, Design, Fine Arts, MBA in Design Strategy, Visual and Critical Studies, and Writing—are now accepting applications for the fall 2012 incoming class.
Rooted in contemporary practice, CCA’s graduate programs provide fertile ground for independent research, experimentation, and exploration. They encourage interdisciplinary study, theoretical rigor, and deep critical thinking. The curriculum emphasizes the study of contemporary practice and theory, coupled with intensive group and individualized critiques.
CCA graduate students form a strong and interconnected community. Our faculty members are active, current practitioners in their respective fields, and students greatly benefit from their wealth of knowledge and professional connections.
Situated in the San Francisco Bay Area, one of the world’s most dynamic and progressive creative centers, students are able to leverage the area’s culture of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Many of the programs enhance their curricular offerings by engaging with outside companies, organizations, and communities. In and out of the classroom, students gain meaningful professional connections that will be of lasting value throughout their careers.
Making the cost of graduate study manageable is crucial to the college’s mission. Financial aid is available to qualified U.S. citizens and permanent residents. We encourage all applicants to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting January 1, 2012, to be considered for financial aid.
Application requirements differ by program. Find them, along with CCA’s online application, at cca.edu/admissions/grad.
