The Department of Art at The University of North Carolina is pleased to present the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 lineup of its Hanes Visiting Artist Lecture Series. The series brings to campus outstanding, internationally renowned artists, curators, and scholars. The speakers present their work and their unique and diverse perspectives, and invite the audience to participate in critical discussion on issues in contemporary art.

This year we are also excited to announce our two artists in residence, Stephen Vitiello and Bright Ugochukwu Eke. They will each spend two weeks on campus engaging with students. Vitiello will present two public performances during his stay.

All lectures take place at 6pm in the Hanes Art Center Auditorium at UNC Chapel Hill’s campus (115 S. Columbia Street, Chapel Hill, North Carolina). Check here to confirm dates and times. All lectures are free and open to the public.
