The USC Roski School of Fine Arts is pleased to announce its Spring 2013 Graduate Lecture Series, featuring weekly, in-depth presentations by internationally recognized artists, curators, and writers in an intimate setting that fosters critical conversation.
The Spring Lecture Series is jointly hosted by USC Roski M.A. Art and Curatorial Practices in the Public Sphere program and the USC Roski M.F.A program. Guest lecturers additionally meet with graduate students over two days.
January 16: Connie Butler, Curator
Butler is Chief Curator of Drawings at The Museum of Modern Art, New York and Visiting Professor in the USC Roski School of Fine Arts M.A. Program.

Quaytman is a New York-based painter and faculty member of the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, Bard College.

Forti is a seminal figure in dance, performance, and body-based practices. She is the author of Oh, Tongue, a collection of experimental texts.

The Amsterdam-based curatorial collective If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution is dedicated to exploring the evolution and typology of performance and performativity in contemporary art.

Brugera is a Cuban-born artist. She is the founder and director of Cátedra
Arte de Conducta, the first performance and time-based art studies program in Cuba.

Ray (born 1953) has exhibited at Documenta IX (1992), Venice Biennales in 1993 and 2003, and four Whitney Biennials, and he has had one-person museum exhibitions in Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Milan, Berne, Vienna, and Oslo, among other cities. Ray lives and works in Los Angeles.
