Once a year the Städelschule, one of the world’s leading art academies, opens its doors to the public. For three days the art students display their current works in their studios. Video artists and filmmakers show their recent productions in the German Filmmuseum, Frankfurt.
The Rundgang has become one of the most popular art events in Frankfurt. In 2012, more than 13,000 visitors took the opportunity to get to know the Städelschule, its professors and students. In 2013 around 190 students from the classes of Douglas Gordon, Judith Hopf, Michael Krebber, Christa Näher, Tobias Rehberger, Willem de Rooij, Simon Starling, Ben van Berkel, and guest professors Carsten Nicolai and Mark von Schlegell exhibit their works in their ateliers.
