Apply to the Strelka Institute in Moscow

Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design is an international post-graduate educational project with a curriculum co-designed by Rem Koolhaas / AMO. Strelka provides one year of research-based education, as well as hosts a variety of public lectures, seminars and workshops at its campuses in downtown Moscow, consults on urban development and publishes books on urbanism, design, media, and architecture.
Strelka opens admissions for the new year: multidisciplinary program, tailor-made educational course on contemporary urbanism and city development, individual research projects, involving best international experts and students, and a lot more.
If you have a degree, have worked in architecture, design, business or media, want to participate in shaping of the new urban environment, gain experience in research, work on your own ambitious project and better understand what makes a city successful—this is your chance.
Strelka will give you access to the professional network, consisting of the brightest international architects, entrepreneurs, city officials and activists. We will give you time and resources to propose your solutions for intellectual and practical challenges that contemporary city is faced with. You will become part of the Strelka project.

To Apply: Enrollment deadline is July 26, 2013. Program begins October 1, 2013.
To apply, please submit online the following materials:
1. A completed application form
2. A portfolio with a maximum of 10 projects or research work with brief descriptions (pdf)
3. A certificate, confirming English proficiency (unless you are a native speaker)
4. A copy of your university diploma
5. A letter of recommendation from a former employer or internship coordinator

Applying to Strelka is about challenging your own ideas of what education can be. Among those teaching at Strelka are architects from AMO/OMA, Bureau Meganom, Bureau Alexander Brodsky, experts from McKinsey, MIT, Hyper Island, The Why Factory, Arch Daily and many others. Our graduates work with city administrations and museums, architectural bureaus and media resources. They are engaged in consulting and other projects at the Gorky Park, Polytechnic Museum, Moscow Urban Forum, they start teaching and write books.
There are no tuition fees for the program; all students receive stipends.
