Savannah College of Art and Design has announced its fall 2013 schedule of exhibitions and programming at the SCAD Museum of Art and SCAD Galleries in Savannah, Georgia. Organized by the SCAD exhibitions department and overseen by Executive Director of Exhibitions Laurie Ann Farrell, the 2013 schedule includes exhibitions of work by major international contemporary artists with a diverse range of practices and media, including Diana Al-Hadid, Alex Prager, Leonardo Drew, Ellen Gallagher, and Wendell Castle, among others.
Exhibition highlights include Ellen Gallagher’s Ice or Salt. Curated by Isolde Brielmaier, this exhibition features iconic and recent works that offer an original and focused look into the artist’s oeuvre. Additional highlights include Oblique, a solo exhibition of photographs and video by artist Abrie Fourie. Guest curated by Storm Janse van Rensburg, Oblique follows the publication of the artist’s monograph of the same name.
