California College of the Arts (CCA) is a distinguished leader in the fields of art, architecture, design, and writing education. Our 12 graduate programs, all based on our San Francisco campus, are now accepting applications for the fall 2014 incoming class. The deadline to apply is January 5, 2014.

CCA also offers various dual-degree options, combining MA and MFA or MBA and MFA.
Rooted in contemporary practice, CCA’s graduate programs provide fertile ground for research, experimentation, and exploration. They encourage interdisciplinary study, theoretical rigor, and deep critical thinking. The curriculum emphasizes the study of contemporary practice and theory, coupled with intensive group and individualized critiques. Students in all programs enjoy access to excellent facilities.
Our graduate students form a strong, interconnected community. Faculty members are active practitioners in their respective fields, connecting students to a wide professional network. Situated in the San Francisco Bay area, one of the world’s most progressive creative and technological centers, students are able to leverage the area’s innovative spirit, making meaningful professional connections that will be of lasting value throughout their careers. Many of the programs enhance their curricular offerings by engaging with outside cultural institutions, companies, organizations, and communities.
Making the cost of graduate study manageable is crucial to CCA’s mission. Financial aid is available to qualified US citizens and permanent residents. Eligible applicants should, in conjunction with their CCA application, file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting January 1, 2014. CCA’s federal school code is 001127.

Founded in 1907, California College of the Arts (CCA) offers 22 undergraduate and 12 graduate programs in the areas of fine arts, architecture, design, and writing. The college offers BFA, BA, MFA, MA, MBA, BArch, MArch, and MAAD degrees. It has campuses in San Francisco and Oakland, and currently enrolls 1,950 full-time students. CCA students are encouraged to work in an interdisciplinary manner, undertaking projects and collaborations with students in other majors and engaging with outside communities.
