Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) invites students to National Portfolio Day, a chance for prospective art and design students to meet with representatives from the country’s best art and design schools. Representatives from PNCA and other design colleges will review students’ artwork, offer feedback, discuss their programs, and answer questions about professional careers in art. High school students, parents, teachers, guidance counselors and college transfer students are encouraged to attend.

About student portfolios
Students’ portfolios should include their best and most recent work, but can also include works in progress, sketchbooks, and tear sheets. The representatives would prefer to see original artwork whenever possible. It is suggested that students not spend time and money matting or framing their work, but keep the presentation simple; the work itself is what is of interest to the college representatives.

About PNCA
As Oregon’s flagship college of art and design since 1909, Pacific Northwest College of Art has helped shape Oregon’s visual arts landscape for more than a century. PNCA students study with award-winning faculty in small classes. In the last seven years, PNCA has doubled both the student body and full-time faculty, quadrupled is endowment, and added innovative undergraduate and graduate programs.
