Engage with the San Francisco Art Institute at the 102nd annual conference of the College Art Association (CAA) in Chicago, February 12–15.
An educational experience for artists and scholars ready to become leaders in contemporary art, SFAI has been home to such world-renowned cultural figures as Kathryn Bigelow, Paul Pfeiffer, Kehinde Wiley, Catherine Opie, and Barry McGee. Today, SFAI continues to expand upon this legacy by fostering a learning environment centered on the creative pursuits of the individual.
Meet with Admissions Representatives at the CAA conference to learn more about SFAI’s interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs and to address application questions. Applications for the 2014 Summer and Fall semesters are currently being accepted across all programs and disciplines.
Alumni of the Institute can find SFAI at a special alumni reception on the evening of Thursday, February 13, coinciding with the CAA conference, which will offer the chance to reconnect with peers, learn about current SFAI news and events, and meet with esteemed leaders of the Institute: Charles Desmarais, President; Nicole Archer, Chair, Bachelor of Arts Department; Tony Labat, Chair, Master of Fine Arts Department; Jennifer Rissler, Associate Dean; and Rachel Schreiber, Dean and Vice President for Academic Affairs. SFAI offers BFA and BA degrees, MFA (academic year and summer options) and MA degrees, a dual MA/MFA degree, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate, and a range of continuing education and public programs. The institution enrolls approximately 680 students in the degree programs and employs 21 full-time tenure/tenure-track faculty, five emeriti faculty, and some 150 part-time faculty.
