Comprising six major European museums, Moderna galerija (MG, Ljubljana, Slovenia); Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS, Madrid, Spain); Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA, Barcelona, Spain); Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen (M HKA, Antwerp, Belgium); SALT (Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey) and Van Abbemuseum (VAM, Eindhoven, the Netherlands). L’Internationale is working together with complementary partners such as Grizedale Arts (GA, Coniston, United Kingdom); Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU, Liverpool, United Kingdom); Stiftung Universität Hildesheim (UH, Hildesheim, Germany) and University College Ghent School of Arts (KASK, Ghent, Belgium) and associate organisations from the academic and artistic fields.
The editor is appointed by L’Internationale-partner KASK (Ghent, Belgium). The platform is supervised by SALT, Istanbul. The site’s main objective is to offer a platform for debate and research linked to the five year programme The Uses of Art – on the legacy of 1848 and 1989. The programme is funded as Strand 1.1 EU – Culture Programme application. It contains a large variety of exhibitions, symposia, publications and other cultural events and brings together six museums across Europe and four cultural organisations that provide additional expertise and infrastructure to realise the programme’s agenda. The online platform is designed by Project Projects, New York.

S/he will provide ideas for content as well as acting as chair of the editorial board comprised out of members of all L’Internationale members.
The managing editor is responsible for managing the budget of the platform following the regulations of EU. The editor is also asked to actively pursue collaborations between the School of Arts research programme and the partners of L’Internationale. The editor is in the perfect position to search for opportunities, to build a network and make links between the diverse artistic research projects of KASK and L’Internationale.
