From the initial spark of an idea to a full-scale production, The Banff Centre is the perfect place for interdisciplinary artists to create. The Centre is pleased to announce new offerings for composers, choreographers, visual artists, writers, performance artists, photographers, filmmakers, dancers, playwrights, musicians, directors, and those involved in other new and emerging art practices to collaborate in the creation of new works.
Interdisciplinary Arts Residency

This latest residency is designed to support artists, collectives, and companies in the creation, investigation, and production of new work that crosses disciplines and genres. Utilizing the various artistic facilities on campus, artists will be able to explore projects that blur boundaries.
Artists at various stages of artistic practice are encouraged to apply, whether they are at the conceptual stage, ready for development and production, or preparing for presentation. Adjudication is based on artistic merit and the ability of The Banff Centre to help realize the project. Projects will be adjudicated for fall 2014 and winter 2015 residency dates.

Convergence is an international arts summit dedicated to exploring what happens when contemporary professional practices in all forms of music, visual and digital art, film, theatre, dance, literature, or interdisciplinary arts cross-pollinate with emerging production and dissemination technologies.
Call for presenters
The Banff Centre is seeking national and international presenters on subjects related to interdisciplinary arts practices that engage with digital arts for presentation at Convergence.
Presenters can propose topics, panels, and interactive, immersive or exploratory experiences that engage with the ideas that form the foundation of the summit. Presenters will receive complimentary registration, meals, accommodation, and travel for the summit.
