As an international research centre and museum, the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) is a laboratory for the exploration of key issues affecting contemporary architecture and its social and cultural context. Now celebrating its twenty-five years, the CCA conceives and hosts an extensive program of exhibitions, research opportunities, curatorial programs, publications and public events that establish links between its vast collection, contemporary architectural practice and social change.

In the coming years the CCA intends to strengthen its curatorial approach, introducing new formats to address the different publics in the museum and online, establishing innovative ways to research and produce content, and expanding its publishing activities and their scope.

In this context, the CCA is now seeking a Curator of Contemporary Architecture and an Editor that will reinforce the expertise of the institution in its exhibition, public programs and publication activities, actively contributing to bring forward the institutional vision.

Reporting to the Chief Curator, the Curator of Contemporary Architecture is responsible for the development, organization and management of multidisciplinary projects including exhibitions, public and educational programs. The Curator of Contemporary Architecture manages the Program division and provides strategic leadership and critical thinking to shape, develop and promote a consistent and innovative curatorial direction for the institution. The CCA Program division researches and organizes exhibitions and public programs as a form of cultural production to suggest new perspectives for architecture debate.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Publications, the Editor contributes to the CCA print, digital and online publishing activity by researching, writing and editing content, managing projects, liaising with authors, designers and other contributors, and contributing ideas for the publishing program. The Editor works in close collaboration with the rest of the CCA editorial team and with CCA staff at large to reinforce the character and visibility of the activities and holdings of the institution, including exhibitions, public programs, collection and research.
