The Royal Academy of Art, The Hague is an academy for Fine Arts and Design and offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, postgraduate courses, and PhD programmes (in close cooperation with the Leiden University) and preparatory courses. The Royal Academy of Art trains students to become self-aware artists and designers, able to make a meaningful contribution to their discipline and to society by means of their passion, deep expertise and experimental approach.
Bachelor’s: ArtScience, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interactive/Media/Design, Interior Architecture & Furniture Design, Photography, and Textile & Fashion
Master’s: Artistic Research, ArtScience, Interior Architecture(INSIDE), Type & Media
Postgraduate course: Industrial Design
PhD: in close collaboration with Leiden University.

International community
The Royal Academy of Art prepares its students for an international professional practice. For this reason we use both English and Dutch as the language of instruction. We maintain contacts with institutions all over the world. Students participate in exchange programmes and internships abroad and we annually welcome many students who study at our academy for the duration of one or two semesters. This international orientation is reflected in the composition of our academic community. With students coming from more than 60 countries every student learns to think internationally and interculturally as a matter of course. Learn more about our international education here.

The open day at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, is an opportunity for prospective applicants to meet tutors, staff, current students and alumni.
Students and tutors organize a programme with exhibitions, performance workshops, Pecha Kucha lectures, film screenings, portfolio talks and guided tours.
