International Leadership Program in Visual Arts Management (ILPVAM)

ILPVAM is an advanced art and business executive certificate program offered by three leading institutions with specialties in visual arts, global markets, and business management.
The program includes two eight-day modules taught in English this June and October, in Bilbao and New York. ILPVAM provides an exceptional immersive on-site learning experience through both intensive lectures and discussion with experts from local visual arts institutions and organizations, as well as exchanges with an informed and engaged participant group from around the globe.
Module 1
Bilbao: June 2–9, 2015 (site visit to Madrid included)
“Understanding the Environment: Global Trends and Strategic Vision”
Module 2
New York: October 2–9, 2015
“Leadership in the Global Art Sector”
Site visits to important cultural institutions will include a “backstage” tour of the Guggenheim Bilbao, the Prado Museum, the newly opened National Archaeological Museum (Madrid), Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art, and the Queens Museum.
Emerge with a broadened worldview, new perspectives on cutting edge arts management and business methods and approaches, and ideas on how to adapt the extensive knowledge gained to your own work.
ILPVAM is aimed at professionals with at least five years of relevant experience in the field of visual arts or related arts disciplines. Candidates with significant work experience in other areas, and interest in advancing their career in this field, will also be considered.
Completion of the two modules leads to the award of a Program Certificate by the University of Deusto and New York University.
