The Office of Graduate Admission at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) is currently accepting applications for the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Fine Art. This one-year program provides intensive studio and professional development experiences for students serious about strengthening their creative practice.
In addition to individual studios in the recently renovated Fred Lazarus IV Center for Graduate Studies, Post-Baccalaureate students experience a rigorous curriculum tailored to match their personal academic and professional goals. The program combines independent work, studio classes and critical theory to prepare students for success in future graduate study or creative fields.
Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Fine Arts students work alongside members of MICA’s graduate community, sharing space, resources, ideas and opportunities.

Home to 19 unique graduate programs including MFA, MA, MPS and MBA degrees, Maryland Institute College of Art is dedicated to training the next generation of artists, designers, educators, curators, critics and creative professionals.
Visiting artists and scholars
Post-Baccalaureate and graduate students have full access to the Graduate Visiting Artist lecture series, which has recently featured speakers such as Siobhan Lidell, Walid Raad, Patty Chang, Nina Yang, Amy Feldman, Ezio Marcaccio and Nancy Princenthal, to name a few. The Office of Graduate Studies and graduate faculty host visiting scholars, artists, designers and writers on a weekly basis.
