Headlands Center for the Arts
944 Fort Barry
Sausalito, CA 94965
Headlands Center for the Arts announces a full season of public events led by current artists in residence, as well as cultural practitioners from across the Bay Area, each of who are exploring critical themes through their contemporary practices. New to Headlands’ repertoire this year are Fieldwork Sessions—intimate events that up the ante on a traditional studio visit or hands-on-activity by bringing participants into the creative process in a direct, experimental, and thought-provoking way. From instruction on basic wood joinery, cutting-edge musical performances, discussion on narrative photography, and seasonal open house and members dinner in the Ann Hamilton-renovated Mess Hall, there’s no shortage of ways to be inspired at Headlands this summer.
