Open call for Queens artists and cultural producers of all kinds with a special emphasis on those who collaborate with others outside of the U.S.
Submit your materials and ideas to be considered for Queens International 2016 at the Queens Museum. A tradition since 2001, Queens International is the biannual exhibition of artists living and/or working in Queens, presenting the artistic vibrancy of the borough though contemporary cultural productions in all media. While featuring a breadth of local artists, the 2016 edition will also check in on the role of the “international” in the borough’s artistic practice through cross-cultural/-national collaborations between Queens artists and their partners outside the US. The call is open to both existing and envisioned works and projects, as well as to works that are fostered by and respond to the rapidly globalizing world in which we live today.
Submit your materials and see submission guidelines here.
Your application will be made up of documentation of previous pertinent works/projects, and/or a proposal for a new project with detailed description and production timeline. Modest financial assistance will be available for select proposals. All materials must be submitted via the form linked below. No materials submitted in person or via post will be reviewed. No phone inquiries please.
