Futurographies exhibition
April 6–18, 2016
Opening:Wednesday, April 6, 6:30pm
There can be no dispute that the shared histories of Cambodia, USA, and France are ones of violence: colonial repression, war, bombing campaigns, genocide, migrations of refugees, deportations, and forced “repatriations.” This exhibition explores another set of parallel histories: histories in which alternate futures were (and are) imagined, written, drafted, discussed, and even determined. This exhibition is the outcome of an intensive interdisciplinary workshop Cambodia-U.S.-France: Intersecting Ethnographic and Curatorial Methodologies led by the faculty directors since January 2015.
