“Exhibition Models” is a one-day conference that will examine new curatorial practices, scholarship, and institutional experiments that are redefining the agency of architecture exhibitions.
Presentations and panel discussions offer case-studies and consider the format, role, and impact of architecture exhibitions in different settings, ranging from academic venues, alternative spaces, and well-established institutions to the rise of project-based architecture biennials and triennials.
The daylong conference coincides with The Other Architect, an exhibition of architects who expanded their role in society to shape the contemporary cultural agenda without the intervention of built form. The Other Architect is organized by the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), Montréal, and on view in the Arthur Ross Architecture Gallery through December 2.
