The Kraus Distinguished Visiting Professorship is a one-year, full-time position. For the 2017–18 professorship, the school seeks artists whose work explores experimental or aesthetic approaches to animation or who are working within the animation in unconventional formats and hybrid media. Special attention will be given to candidates whose practice includes scholarship in the history of animation and/or the moving image. The Kraus Distinguished Visiting Professorship includes a 65,000 USD salary and full benefits package. The Kraus Visiting Professorship is made possible through the generous support of Jill Gansman Kraus and Peter Kraus.
Assistant or Associate Professor of Art in the area of sculpture is a full-time visiting or tenure-track position commensurate with experience. The school seeks a versatile, strongly committed artist whose work explores contemporary issues related to sculpture, installation, and site. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in both technical and traditional forms of making as well as experience with experimental fabrication techniques and processes.

All full-time faculty in the School of Artare provided with a private studio as well as access to the school’s myriad physical, digital, and technology-based facilities and fabrication tools. Established artists with records of international exhibition and who bring both critical and technical knowledge to their work are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have an advanced degree (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of teaching experience at the university or college level. The deadline for applications is January 30, 2017. Both appointments are to begin in fall 2017.
