Graduate Art at ArtCenter College of Design is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Owens as Visiting Professor for its Spring 2017 semester. Owens will teach a critique class, conduct weekly one-on-one MFA studio visits, as well as advise graduating students on their thesis committees, among other responsibilities.
Internationally renowned for over two decades, Laura Owens has had recent solo exhibitions at the the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts and the Vienna Secession. A solo survey of her work will open at the Whitney Museum of American Art in late 2017. Owens is co-founder of 356 Mission, an art exhibition and event space in Los Angeles.
