The College of the Arts at the University of Houston is pleased to announce the 2017 interdisciplinary masterclass Cargo and Carriers: Sites, Zones, Borders led by sound artist, painter and filmmaker Abinadi Meza. This expanded seminar explores spatial practices and projects engaging poetic as well as political sites, speculative worlds as well as concrete geographies, forms of spatial agency, interventions and crossings.
The semester-long project features lectures, readings, performances, screenings, and workshops by renowned visiting artists and scholars, including:
