Jennifer Samet is a New York-based art historian, curator, and writer. She is a professor of art history at the City University of New York and co-directs the gallery Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects. Samet has lectured at universities across the country on the subject of “The Role of Empathy in Art.”

Josephine Halvorson is a professor of art and chair of graduate studies at Boston University. She has a BFA from The Cooper Union and an MFA from Columbia University. Her work has recently been exhibited at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, Winston-Salem, NC; Sikkema Jenkins & Co., New York; and King Art Center in New Windsor, NY

Marc Andre Robinson graduated from PAFA in 1998. He earned an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2002 and attended the Whitney Independent Studio Program in 2003. Robinson has exhibited in venues including the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York; Studio Museum in Harlem, New York; the Contemporary Museum, Baltimore; and the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Turin, Italy.

Ellen Berkenblit received her BFA from The Cooper Union in 1980. Her work is in the collections of the Aspen Art Museum; Brooklyn Museum; Cincinnati Art Museum; Farnsworth Art Museum; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.

Dennis McNett is at heart a storyteller, whose inventive and imaginative personal mythology about the world directly translates into his work. He has shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Jonathan LeVine Gallery and Joshua Liner Gallery in New York. His work has received praise from The New York Times, NPR, Juxtapoz and other outlets.

Joyce Yu-Jean Lee is a New York-based artist who often deals with mass culture, global economies, and personal freedom in her video and installation practice. Lee has an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and currently teaches at Fashion Institute of Technology and New Jersey City University. She has exhibited widely around the country.
April 13
Elena Sisto is a painter and teacher of painting and drawing, with a 30-year history of solo gallery and museum shows. Her oil paintings are ostensibly figurative, but composed abstractly and from imagination. She teaches at The School of Visual Arts in New York, and this year received a Guggenheim Fellowship for exceptional achievement in painting.
April 20
Sangram Majumdar, born in Kolkata, India, has an MFA from Indiana University and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Recent solo exhibitions include Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.; Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects, New York; Rothschild Fine Art, Tel Aviv; and the Kresge Art Museum. Majumdar is a professor of painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
