Visiting artists are central to the MFA program at Rutgers. Each year graduate students select and invite prominent artists, curators and critics. The large scale of the program exposes students to a wide spectrum of contemporary practices. Each artist participates in a number of studio visits as well as giving a public lecture.
This spring, the program is presented in collaboration with the Brodsky Center’s prestigious residency program. Three Brodsky Center artists-in-residence—Sondra Hall, Gordon Perry, and Layqa Nuna Yawar—will conduct workshops and studio visits with MFA students in addition to their collaborations with Brodsky Center’s master printers and papermakers.
