The SVA Summer Residency Program’s mix of aesthetic and practical concerns attracts a cross-section of artists, from emerging talents to those in mid-career looking to rejuvenate and redirect their practice amid the creative chaos of New York City. –Angela Riechers, Visual Arts Journal

The program threw me right back into studio practice full swing. The wheels in my creative brain that had been stagnant for a while started turning again once the critical feedback and discourse started.
–Cay Yoon, alumnus, Painting and Mixed Media; Sculpture, Installation and New Media Art

I can trust my gut more, now that my work has gone through this kind of scrutiny, and I’m less likely to let things slide if I don’t think they’re quite right.
–Carl Alviani, alumnus, Design Writing and Research Summer Intensive
